To make contributions easy to navigate, we’ve outlined three main types of submissions. Please review these carefully to understand where your contribution fits best.
Contribution Types
Personal
We cherish personal stories about mental health and wellbeing—whether it’s your own lived experience or that of someone close to you. Sharing your journey can be incredibly powerful and helpful for others, and we deeply appreciate the courage and effort it takes to reach out and contribute. We recognise how personal and sometimes difficult this can be, so thank you for trusting us with your story.
Professional
We highly value articles from professionals in mental health, wellness, nutrition, and related fields. Many submit because they are passionate about a subject and want to inform a broader audience. Please note that Wholeness Magazine is a consumer-focused publication, not a professional journal, so professional contributions should be written in an accessible, engaging style suited for general readers.
We also welcome promotional content when it is informative and includes relevant references to your product, service, or contact details. We’re happy to help promote offerings that genuinely support our audience.
Sponsored
We gladly support the promotion of products or services that are relevant and beneficial to our readers. Transparency is key: sponsored content aims to advance your business or organisation, whether commercial or not-for-profit. In these cases, editorial and layout costs will be charged, as the primary value is to your cause rather than the magazine at large. We ask for financial support to cover these costs for sponsored pieces.
PR and Advertising
If you are a PR agency or advertiser contacting us primarily for promotion, your submission will be treated as sponsored content and subject to a fee. This applies whether you provide the content or require us to create it, covering editing, layout, and writing services.
Content Preparation
Every submission is carefully reviewed to ensure it aligns with the magazine’s mission of being helpful, informative, and ultimately positive. We edit and proofread thoroughly, then format the content for both web and digital magazine formats. While we usually do not alter the core message, we may request updates for any content that conflicts with our publication’s tone or standards.
