To close off Women’s Month on a powerful note, renowned life coach Yvette Ratshikhopha hosted an inspiring virtual event titled “Celebrating You!” — a transformative space designed to uplift women worldwide. This vibrant gathering brought together like-minded women from across the globe, offering a safe haven to connect, share stories, and empower one another through live chats and interactive Q&A sessions.

Yvette’s event was much more than a celebration; it was a call to embrace and honour the unique strength and worth every woman carries. At the heart of the event were three profound themes that served as guiding lights for personal growth and healing:

1. Self-Love and Healing: Nurturing Your Inner Light

Self-love is not just a buzzword — it’s the foundation of your relationship with yourself. Yvette emphasised that true self-love requires consistency and kindness in how you speak to and treat yourself. Often, the standards and affirmations we expect from others must first come from within. If you find yourself trapped in negative self-love patterns, she encourages you to trace back to your roots — ask where you first learned about love. Was it shaped by your parents, guardians, or early experiences?

To put self-love into practice, Yvette introduced the acronym HAPPI:

H – Honour yourself

A – Accept yourself

P – Protect the things you love

P – Practice intentional love in every area of your life

I – Invest in your wellbeing consistently

This simple yet powerful framework invites women to reconnect with their inner worth and cultivate healing every day.

2. Boundaries: The Art of Protecting Your Peace

Setting boundaries is essential for mental and emotional well-being, yet many hesitate—not because they fear drawing lines, but because they dread others’ reactions. Yvette guided participants to develop self-awareness, to tune in to how situations affect their emotions, and to honour those feelings without override.

Effective boundary-setting is a confident act of self-respect. It means clearly communicating your limits and following through with consequences when those limits aren’t respected. Most importantly, it requires you to honour your own boundaries and stand firm on what you’ve declared.

By mastering this art, women reclaim control over their lives and create space where their needs aren’t just heard—they are prioritised.

3. Self-Forgiveness: Embracing Grace and Moving Forward

Perhaps the most tender theme was self-forgiveness. Yvette reminded attendees that grace for oneself is a vital part of self-love. We all stumble and let ourselves down at times, but holding onto self-criticism only weighs us down emotionally and physically.

Self-forgiveness frees us from carrying past burdens and allows our bodies and spirits to heal. She encouraged women to be kind to their past selves and to embrace forgiveness as a path to reclaiming their worthiness and potential.

Empowering Affirmations to Carry Forward

The event closed on a high note, with Yvette leading the group through affirmations designed to empower and uplift:

  • I am worthy of all things good
  • I am enough
  • My needs matter
  • I am worthy of healing and support
  • I have the courage to do the inner work & show up for myself consistently

These affirmations serve as daily reminders that every woman is deserving of love, respect, and care—starting with the love she gives herself.

“Celebrating You!” was more than a virtual event; it was a heartfelt invitation to every woman to step into her power with compassion and confidence. Through self-love, clear boundaries, and forgiveness, Yvette Ratshikhopha showed that healing and growth are not only possible—they are within reach for all of us.
